Bellini Garden, also known as Villa Bellini or Giardino Bellini is the oldest, largest and also beautiful park in the center Catania urban park.

Before the construction of a public garden, the area was occupied by a botanical maze owned by the Ignazio Paternò Castello, prince of Biscari.[3] In 1854, the the municipality of Catania bought the area of the maze, and in 1864 started to adapt the area into a public garden.[3] Starting from 1875, the municipality acquired several further areas surrounding the maze thanks to the collaboration of the architect Landolina and two years later the work to unify these areas was undertaken.[3]The Giardino Bellini was finally inaugurated in 1883.[3]

It is inspiring because of its varied design and the many statues of famous people of Catania. The lovely city park includes several green areas, a staircase and two hills, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of Catania. Another attraction is the Botanical Clock – a date display of flowers, which is updated and replanted daily. Today the Bellini Garden hosts religious, music and cultural events. The garden occupies 70.942 m² and includes several green areas, a staircase and two hills, from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of Catania.
